Summary
The Binger is a working, regularly redesigned front end over TMDB metadata, with a player, subtitles, Chromecast and resume tracking. It has no revenue, no pricing, no accounts, and it depends on unlicensed third-party streams, so there's no real path to paying users or a defensible position. Shipping stopped in March 2025, and the site was still up when checked in October 2026.
Bloat · Not much here works or looks likely to last, yet.

Viability
Is there a real problem, someone who would pay, and a market this builder can actually reach?
It solves a real personal need (resume tracking plus free streaming), but it serves content it doesn't license through third-party hosts. There's no pricing, no payment path and no legitimate way to charge for it.
12/100
Rubric 0–20No clear problem or user. A toy, a practice clone, or a solution looking for a problem.

The builder says he built it because he couldn't afford Netflix, and that the content comes from third-party servers he has no affiliation with.
“So the first project is a movie streaming platform that also lets you track your watched , i kept forgetting where i stopped on a show i am watching and i cant afford Netflix just for their fancy tracking so i kinda put together a solution that offers both the streaming and the tracking in one place. for legal reasons i have to state that any and all content found on the website is not hosted on ”

The site footer repeats that it only links to media hosted elsewhere, and no pricing or payment provider appears.

Moat
What stops someone copying it?
It's a TMDB front end with embedded third-party players, which another developer here could rebuild in a weekend. The code is open source, which makes copying easier.
7/100
Rubric 0–20A thin wrapper or a clone that anyone here could rebuild in a weekend.
Receipts (2)
Metadata comes from The Movie Database and the video from third-party services, so there's no proprietary data or tech.
