Summary
SQL Studio is a real, working developer tool that has been shipped for over two years, with frequent early releases, outside contributors and a nixpkgs package. It's free with no pricing or payment path, so the business side is unproven, and it sits in a crowded space of database GUIs where the edge is mostly execution.

Viability
Is there a real problem, someone who would pay, and a market this builder can actually reach?
Developers do need to browse databases, and the tool is clearly used, but it's a free open-source utility with no pricing, payments or stated way to earn from it. The audience is global developers rather than a local paying market.
35/100
Rubric 21–40A real problem, but no plausible path to anyone paying, or a market well out of this builder's reach.

The creator was asking for feature ideas and unsure about editing features, so the roadmap is driven by interest, not by a charging model.
“Do any of you have feature suggestions for SQLite Studio? I ran out of stuff on my todo list. I am considering supporting editing actions, like updating rows, adding new rows but not sure if that's needed.”

Moat
What stops someone copying it?
The edge is execution and polish: a single-binary tool with multi-database support that a competent developer could rebuild, and mature GUIs like DBeaver already exist. Distribution through nixpkgs and outside contributors helps a little but doesn't compound.
27/100
Rubric 21–40The only edge is execution, or being first.

Multi-database support (Postgres, MySQL, SQLite, libSQL) is good breadth but all standard drivers.
“SQL Studio (0.1.10) SQLite Studio has been renamed to SQL Studio. The latest release also includes MySQL support. Install the latest release.”

Packaged in nixpkgs, a small distribution channel for Nix users.
“After one failed PR and more than 2 months of waiting. My SQL Studio PR got merged into nixpkgs. SQL Studio is now available in the nix distribution. Nix users can now use the following command to run SQL Studio. nix run nixpkgs#sql-studio https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/341807 🎉🎉🎉”

A feature (ERD view) was copied in quickly after seeing another project's demo, which shows features are easy to replicate.
“So at the event @ruhambek demoed her DB Studio project, and one of the features she had implemented was an ERD view for the tables. Just added this feature to SQL Studio. It is now available in version 0.1.47. [preview]”

Infrastructure
Does a real, working product exist?
A full working product exists: cross-platform binaries, several database drivers, pagination tested on huge databases, and an ERD view. The hosted preview on its own domain was live, though the older .io links failed on the last check.

Is it being set up to last?
It's distributed through GitHub releases and nixpkgs, with some outside contributors, but there's no revenue, pricing, privacy or terms pages, or support contact. It stays viable only as long as the one maintainer keeps working on it.

An outside contributor built autosuggestions that were merged.
“Victor1890 implemented auto suggestions for SQL Studio. SQL Studio can now auto suggest table and column names when you write a custom query. This works across all the supported DB drivers. It will be available in the next release 0.1.31. [The PR]”
