Summary
Loglib is a real, once-working analytics product with logins, a dashboard and its own backend. It has had long gaps, shows no payments or pricing, and is now free and kept alive mainly because its creator needs it for another project. Its commercial path and defensibility are both weak.

Viability
Is there a real problem, someone who would pay, and a market this builder can actually reach?
The problem is real, and the creator says alternatives are expensive. But there is no pricing, payment provider or paying customer, and the creator says the project lacks a way to earn money.
36/100
Rubric 21–40A real problem, but no plausible path to anyone paying, or a market well out of this builder's reach.
Receipts (3)
The creator says he stopped focusing on loglib because 'the only analytics that matters is cash', which implies it was not earning.
“This why I stopped focusing on loglib :_ the only analytics that matters is cash. > Oh 100 people visited my site from Antarctica today so what”

It was brought back as a free tool because the creator needs it for Better Auth and found alternatives 'ridiculously expensive'.
“https://www.loglib.io/ Loglib is back (because I need it for Better Auth). I tried finding alternatives to avoid using Loglib and fixing its issues, but honestly, they all suck and are ridiculously expensive. So, I upgraded the server, fixed some of the infra stuff and it's running again! :)”

The live site shows no pricing, no payment provider and no terms.

Moat
What stops someone copying it?
Web analytics is a crowded category, and nothing in the dossier points to proprietary data, a network effect or deep local integration. The edge is the creator's execution and the open-source, easy-to-self-host design.
22/100
Rubric 21–40The only edge is execution, or being first.
Receipts (2)
The move to SQLite via Turso was made so anyone can contribute and develop locally, which makes the project easy to copy and fork.
“I switched loglib from PS to turso 😑 (It wasn't cause it's on edge mnman it was only cause it'll allow me and anyone to develop just with sqlite db locally)”
Post · @bekacru_c · 5 Dec 2023 · open on Telegram (opens in a new tab)
Reliance on third-party services such as Upstash Kafka and Turso caused outages and gives no durable advantage.
“Loglib experienced an outage yesterday cause Upstash banned my account from using Kafka without any notice. The issue has been resolved, and we have migrated Kafka hosting to our own server.”

Momentum
Did the updates keep coming?
Activity was spread over about 16 months, with updates in most of them, but the last sign of shipping was 2025-02-18, almost 600 days ago, so the computed score is heavily discounted.

Infrastructure
Does a real, working product exist?
Creator posts describe a working analytics product with login, a dashboard, a database and an event pipeline, but the site snapshot is empty and the repo could not be fetched, so the current state is unverified. There are no docs or status page, and outages came from third-party providers.

- HTTPS5/5
Served over HTTPS.
- Real product25/35
Posts describe a working product with login, a user dashboard, a database and an event pipeline, which is more than a landing page. It is only partly verified: the site snapshot is empty and the GitHub fetch failed, and development has been intermittent.
- Own home10/10
Lives on its own domain (loglib.io).
- Maintained0/15
Last sign of shipping 2025-02-18.
- Operations9/15
There are signs of a real backend with accounts, a database provider, Kafka (since self-hosted) and a community channel. No docs, status page or API documentation were found, and outages were handled ad hoc.

Describes a login flow and a dashboard backed by a user database, so there is a working app.
“Okay loglib is down ATM. Specifically down after you login or when you try to login. Just tried to investigate and it's cause of turso (our database provider for user data) Not sure what's the problem with them but our database doesn't load on their dashboard too. Just sent support email but these guys are so unreliable man.”

The creator says he upgraded the server and fixed infrastructure so it is running again.

The site responds, but the snapshot shows no extracted content and no accounts signal.

An outage was fixed by migrating Kafka hosting to the creator's own server.

Sustainability
Is it being set up to last?
The product has no pricing, payment provider or revenue, and the creator says he stopped focusing on it because it did not earn. It is now free and runs mostly to serve his other project, which makes long-term support uncertain.
40/100
- Distribution25/30
A web app on its own domain.
- Payments0/15
No payment provider found.
- Pricing0/10
No pricing found on the site.
- Revenue0/5
No post shows paying customers or income. Mentions of a 'bill' are costs, the product is described as free, and the $10m Series A post is a joke.
- Privacy policy0/7
No privacy policy found.
- Terms0/5
No terms of service found.
- Support8/8
Posts point users to a support channel.
- Commitment7/20
There is a dedicated community channel and support offered via DM, and the creator returned to the project after a pause. But he publicly said he stopped focusing on it, there are no signs of a team or roadmap kept, and no real funding.

The bill mentioned is an expense for the project, not revenue.

This post is a parody of the funding announcement, so it is not evidence of money.
