Summary

It's a small, working bot that posts rankings for one private Fantasy Premier League group, and it solves a narrow problem for that group only. There's no payment path, no pricing, no policies and no sign of work since early 2026, so it reads as a fun side project rather than a business.

Bloat · Not much here works or looks likely to last, yet.

Breakdown

Five measures, 100 points each. Open the receipts under any of them to see the posts and pages behind the points.

Viability

Is there a real problem, someone who would pay, and a market this builder can actually reach?

It solves a real but tiny convenience for one league, with no user who'd pay and no model for charging anyone.

12/100

Rubric 0–20No clear problem or user. A toy, a practice clone, or a solution looking for a problem.

Receipts (2)

  1. Built for one specific league so members can see their rank without opening the PL app.

“if you're in The 'tech bros turned footballers' fantasy league, i created this bot to see your rank on telegram without logging into PL app. i'm currently sitting at 42 😅 - it updates everytime if there's any change - shows the top 3 highest scorers - also shows who got the highest point on the current gameweek here's the link: @hopefantasy also here's the code if you want to join the leagu”

    Post · @Day_Dreamers1 · 9 Jan 2026 · open on Telegram (opens in a new tab)

  2. The channel only posts rankings for a single 48-manager league, with no paid tier or offer.

Moat

What stops someone copying it?

It pulls public FPL league data into a Telegram post, which anyone here could rebuild in a weekend.

6/100

Rubric 0–20A thin wrapper or a clone that anyone here could rebuild in a weekend.

Receipts (2)

  1. Features are rank display, top 3 scorers and the gameweek top scorer, all simple data relays.

  2. The output is a formatted leaderboard with no proprietary data or network effect.

Momentum

Did the updates keep coming?

It was announced once in January 2026, with the channel's last post in May, and nothing has shipped for about nine months, so the steadiness is minimal.

  • Sustained shipping0/60

  • Consistency0/40

Updates in 1 of 1 month.

  • Quiet

Infrastructure

Does a real, working product exist?

A working bot exists and posts a clean automated leaderboard, but it's thin, Telegram-only, and has no domain, docs or policies.
